    $4.00

  3. Mr. Fixit

The Easy Way to Make and Remodel Your Own Furniture

    by George Daniels

1952, Greystone Press, 304 pages hardbound.

This book shows how to make all kinds of furniture and other home furnishings in easy ways. The projects take a kind of Mechanix Illustrated approach, with results that are sometimes very nice and sometimes pretty cheesy. Fine Woodworking this is not.

The early chapters describe tools and materials, then the book moves into a series of projects. The built-in shelves and upholstered seats look pretty good, the ice bucket made from a coffee can looks just like a coffee can. Charming 50's nostalgia, and if you're selective, some useful project ideas.

The book is in excellent condition. The cover shows slight wear, the interior pages are clean and the binding is tight.
